Following the success of the 2011 programme, we are pleased to announce that we have received funding from the St David’s Day Group of Universities (Aberystwyth, Bangor, Cardiff, Glamorgan and Swansea) to run Welsh Crucible again in 2012. Professor Peter Halligan, academic lead on the Welsh Crucible programme, comments “building on last year’s experience, the attraction of Welsh Crucible remains the unique set of interactive programmes that demonstrate the practical challenges, career opportunities and research returns afforded by genuine cross-disciplinary collaboration”. The call for applications for the 2012 programme will open in mid January 2012.
