Welsh Crucible 2020/21

2020’s successful applicants came from the Universities of Aberystwyth, Bangor, Cardiff, Cardiff Metropolitan, Swansea and South Wales, and Natural Resources Wales. As in previous years, they were selected through a competitive process in which they demonstrated their excellence in research, along with an interest in interdisciplinary research and collaboration. All 30 also demonstrated a commitment to thinking about the wider impact of their work. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the decision was taken to postpone the 2020 programme until 2021, and due to the ongoing pandemic the programme was adapted to take place online. Despite the challenges of working online, the Cruciblees rose to the occasion, held thoughtful conversations, and forged new collaborations.
