Welsh Crucible 2026

2026’s successful applicants came from the Universities of Aberystwyth, Bangor, Cardiff, Cardiff Metropolitan, Swansea and South Wales, as well as Public Health Wales and the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology. As in previous years, they were selected through a competitive process in which they demonstrated their excellence in research, along with an interest in interdisciplinary research and collaboration. All 30 also demonstrated a commitment to thinking about the wider impact of their work.
