How to Apply

How will participants be selected?

Participants will be selected through a competitive process based on written applications. Anonymised applications will be assessed and scored by an interdisciplinary, cross-institutional selection panel. In selecting participants, the panel will be looking for excellent researchers who are innovative and creative thinkers, have an interest in interdisciplinary research, and who are committed to thinking about the impact of their work and to communicating their research beyond their current organisation. Successful applicants will already have a high level of achievement in their field, in addition to an ongoing commitment to the career development of both themselves and other researchers in Wales.

The Call for applications for Welsh Crucible 2023 is now closed.

Applications for the 2024 Welsh Crucible will open in January, please follow us on Twitter (@welshcrucible) or look out for communications from your institution for more details closer to the time.
