Ye obtained his BEng and Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering at the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China, and went on to start his postdoctoral research at the University of Glasgow, focussing on the EPSRC-funded project on the advancing modelling methodology for rotorcraft. Then, Ye was employed by Swansea University as a lecturer, and his research expertise includes flight safety and autonomous system developments for future air mobility systems. Ye is extremely keen to communicate and explore the comprehensive pathway to promote the development of this future air mobility system, which involves engineering, airworthiness regulation & policy, urban planning and infrastructure, and public relations to stimulate its application in the UK.
