Tony is Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour at Bangor University. Tony has a PhD in Industrial Relations. Prior to coming to Wales, he lived in Ireland for twelve years. During 2008-2010 he was Research Fellow at University of Ireland Galway. From 2001-2008 he was a journalist in Dublin with Industrial Relations News. Tony’s research interests include employee voice at work; comparative international employment relations; employment regulation; corporate governance; labour markets. He is collaborating in new interdisciplinary research on redundant workers in the aluminium industry with colleagues in Bangor and Northumbria Universities, Anglesey and Northumbria Councils. Tony has many interests, including cycling, hiking, nature, independent films, and reading.
Tony has relocated to Birmingham and is now a Professor in Employment Relations & HR Management in Birmingham Business School at the University of Birmingham
