Keeron obtained his BSc and MSc degrees in Sport and Exercise Science at University of Wales Institute, Cardiff and went on to complete a PhD in Cardiovascular Physiology at the University of Gloucestershire. Keeron is now a Lecturer in Cardiovascular Physiology at Cardiff Metropolitan University and is the translational cardiovascular theme lead for the National Cardiovascular Research Network (NCRN), Wales. His interdisciplinary research has focussed on: i) investigating the interactions between lifestyle factors, particularly sedentary behaviour, and cardiovascular disease), with his expertise supporting complex biomedical experimental and observational research; ii) developing novel non-invasive technologies to better assess cardiovascular disease risk, where he has developed simple accurate tools and published best practice guidelines; and, iii) translating basic and applied science into public health outcomes.
