Isabel obtained a PhD in Computational Ecology from Imperial College London and is now a Lecturer in Environmental Data Analysis at Bangor University, after completing a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellowship at the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv).
Isabel is interested in developing and applying novel tools that can help policymakers know where and at what rate land use change is occurring and is expected to occur under future scenarios, thus allowing them to anticipate its impacts, and develop preventive and/or adaptive measures.
The goal of Isabel’s research is to inform day-to-day decisions made by landscape managers and policy makers that can impact the sustainability and dynamics of landscapes worldwide, with particular focus on sustainable management of living natural resources.
