Dan is a social psychologist whose research explores how housing conditions shape health and well being, with a particular interest in how residents and organisations engage with new technologies and innovations in the housing sector. His recent work also examines the mental health and wellbeing of professionals within social housing, recognising the pressures they face in supporting tenants and managing complex organisational demands. He leads the USW Housing and Health Research Network, collaborating with housing providers and health partners to translate evidence into practice.

Dan holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of South Wales and a BSc (Hons.) in Psychology from the University of Glamorgan. With over a decade of teaching experience, he has taught across applied psychology and research methods. He is currently Head of Psychology at USW and is committed to the civic mission of universities, serving as a Non-Executive Director for United Welsh Housing Association.
