Ankush completed his undergraduate education in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in India and doctoral education in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles in the United State of America. Afterwards, he joined the University of Texas at Austin as a Postdoctoral Fellow and three years later moved to Swansea University as a National Research Network Research Fellow. His research interests are in the wide interdisciplinary field of biomechanics, where the primary aim is to use engineering approaches for solving clinical problems and elucidating biological phenomenon. He is currently working on detecting heart valve diseases ahead of time using advanced engineering techniques.
