Tony graduated with a BSc in Optometry in 2005, and completed a PhD at the University of Ulster in 2009. He undertook post-doctoral research at UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, London, and Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada, before taking up a lectureship in Optometry at Cardiff University. His research interests include improving the accuracy of clinical measures of vision in patients with conditions such as glaucoma, and understanding the subtle changes that occur in the eye and visual system, that lead to early vision loss.
Tony has been promoted to Senior Lecturer and Deputy Director of Postgraduate Research in the School of Optometry and Vision Sciences at Cardiff University.
