Dr Timothy Easun is a Royal Society University Research Fellow recently appointed in the School of Chemistry at Cardiff University. His research is on the control of nanoscale flow of molecules within porous materials using photochemistry both as probe and actuator to make nanofluidic devices. Dr Easun was awarded his MSci from Nottingham University, his PhD in Supramolecular Photochemistry from Sheffield University, moved to a post-doc back at Nottingham before taking on a Senior Research Officer role. In 2015 he was both appointed as an independent Cardiff University Research Fellow and awarded the Royal Society University Research Fellowship. He has a particular interest in how molecules move in confined spaces and how we can use light to study and control this motion.
