Tim obtained his BSc in Physical Geography at Aberystwyth University and completed a PhD in Lifecycle Assessment of Renewable Gaseous Fuels at the University of South Wales (USW) following a ten year career as an environmental consultant specialising in contaminated land investigation and remediation. He is now employed as a Research Fellow and Lecturer at USW. Specific research interests include the systems evaluation and quantification of environmental burdens / benefits of novel renewable energy technologies and low carbon products or materials, and the integration of low carbon technologies into existing industrial practices. Results can be applied to direct research priorities for emerging technologies or inform policy decisions or deployment plans for market ready systems.
Tim has been promoted to Associate Professor in the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science at the University of South Wales.
