Mark Bowkett

Mark obtained his Masters degree in Electronic and communications at the University of Glamorgan now known as the University of South Wales. He went on to work for the university in the Centre of Electronic Product Engineering for two years designing and building products for small businesses. Leaving the academic environment he went to work in industry for three years also in a product design role before returning to the University of South Wales. Currently he works at the Centre of Automotive & Power Systems Engineering which has included a mix of roles including lecturing, research, student supervision, product design and testing of hybrid vehicle batteries systems. Most recently he is researching a novel method for non destructive testing of composite materials with a strong focus on carbon fibre.
Mark has been promoted to a Senior Research Fellow in the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science at the University of South Wales.
