Lorenzo is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Cardiff University, and previously worked as a Research Fellow and Ph.D. student at “Sapienza” University of Rome. He holds a degree in Physics and Astrophysics from the University of Florence, and an honours degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Sapienza.
His research focuses on the study of exoplanets: planets that orbit stars beyond our Sun. Using advanced numerical techniques, Lorenzo explores their atmospheres, simulates how telescopes observe them, and helps improve the calibration and analysis of space data.
Through his work, he contributes to our understanding of distant worlds, helping scientists compare the diversity of planets in the universe and uncover how planetary systems form and evolve.
