Welsh Crucible 2014

Kyle received his BSc in Geology/Biology from Brown University before conducting PhD research on the ecology and management of salmon and trout at the University of British Columbia. His research on fishes and aquatic ecosystems spans intersections of behavioural, evolutionary, community and applied ecology. Before joining the Institute of Biological, Environmental & Rural Sciences in 2013 he spent four years working with the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales as a fisheries scientist and Water Framework Directive advisor. Kyle is keen to meet researchers working within and outside the natural sciences to explore how fisheries and river ecosystem management in Wales can benefit from multi-disciplinary perspectives.

Kyle is now a Lecturer in the University of Pittsburgh.
