Gareth obtained his degree in psychology in 2002 and, while working full-time, completed his PhD in Social Psychology with Glamorgan University, now University of South Wales. Gareth took on a full-time lectureship at Aberystwyth University in 2007 helping to establish the Psychology Department and its curriculum.
Gareth’s most current research project is examining how mobile applications can be used to record real-time psychological and behaviour change transformations in sports for development and peace programmes in Brazil. Gareth has built his early research career through transdisciplinary collaborations and is committed to building transdisciplinary research collaborations, especially where creative methodologies are involved.
