Francesco obtained a BEng in Chemical Engineering at University of Naples Federico II. He then pursued an MSc in Chemical Engineering followed by a PhD in Chemical engineering, both at University of Naples Federico II. During the PhD period, Francesco was visited researcher at Glasgow University. Francesco then moved to Okinawa, Japan, for a Postdoctoral Scholarship at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate School. After the postdoctoral experience, Francesco joined Swansea University as Lecturer and he has been recently promoted to Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering. Francesco has also been elected Chartered Chemical Engineer from the Institute of Chemical Engineering. Francesco established the rheological microfluidic lab at Swansea University, where is currently engaged in research activities at boundary between chemical and biomedical engineering. Francesco is very interested in exploring new multidisciplinary collaboration that can lead to outcomes aimed to improve the quality of people’s life.
