Enlli is currently a Senior Lecturer in Education at Bangor University, and a core member of the executive of the ESRC Centre for Research on Bilingualism in Theory and Practice. She graduated with a degree in Psychology, but went on to pursue her interests in language, gaining a PhD looking at children’s acquisition of grammatical gender in Welsh. Her research interests include Welsh language acquisition, bilingual acquisition, minority language acquisition, bilingual and minority language assessment, and approaches to language teaching in education. She has attracted a number of grants as PI and co-PI, and has authored journal articles and book chapters on theoretical and practice aspects to bilingualism and acquisition. Her current research aims to apply theory into practice, particularly in the context of linguistic attainment and issues relating to language policy in education.
Enlli has been promoted to Professor in Education in the School of Education at Bangor University.
