Welsh Crucible 2013
Edward is a multidisciplinary scientist with backgrounds in: forestry (BSc UW Bangor), animal production (MSc, UW Bangor), bioenergy crop biology and themochemical conversion (PhD Aston, CEng.). For the last five years he has been working as a post-doctoral researcher in Biorefining at IGER and latterly IBERS, Aberystwyth University. During this time the majority of his research has taken place within Wales and he has become well versed with the issues, institutes and enterprises operating to improve the Welsh research cannon and the Welsh economy. In recent years his work has focussed on business engagement to support growth in the Welsh and European bioeconomy (BEACON/Climate KIC). Edward currently project manages the Low Carbon Energy and Environment project for Wales. He would like to take part in the Welsh crucible to find like-minded individuals to forge networks and collaborations to put Wales at the forefront of this developing business and research sector.
Edward now works in Bioeconomy Research and Consultancy in Aberystwyth.
