Renata is a molecular biologist with general interests in epigenetics, stem cells and lung biology. She obtained her MS degree in Biotechnology at Warsaw University (Poland) and went on to complete her PhD and two postdocs in Germany before joining BioMed X Innovation Center (Germany), where she worked at the interface between academia and industry, leading a biomedical preclinical project in the field of respiratory medicine. She is now working as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Biosciences at Cardiff University. Her current research focuses on understanding molecular mechanisms driving development of lung diseases. Renata is keen to engage in interdisciplinary collaborations to tackle the environmental exposure challenge and discover new regenerative approaches for treatment of chronic lung diseases.
