Greg graduated with a BA in English from the University of Aberdeen before obtaining both his MA in Documentary Filmmaking and PhD in Media Arts at the University of Salford. He is a senior lecturer in film practice in the Department of Theatre, Film & Television Studies at Aberystwyth University. His current research projects include a creative practice collaboration with the National Broadcast Archive on the representation of post-industrial communities and a comprehensive critical review of the history of the Welsh language music video. He is interested in challenging the traditional language of artistic and academic practice, including alternatives forms of research dissemination for non-academic audiences.
