Amy obtained her BSc degree in psychology at Cardiff University and went on to complete a PhD in medicine at the MRC Centre for Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Genomics, Cardiff. During her PhD, she developed “CONCA”, a web-based assessment of memory and concentration for use in psychiatric research. She is now working as a Research Associate at the National Centre for Mental Health (NCMH), Cardiff University. Her research investigates how cognitive functions are impacted in patients with a history of mental health problems. She has a special interest in how health technologies can be used to support delivery of clinical care in psychiatric services. In her current role, she leads on the development of a clinical version of CONCA, working with patient representatives and clinicians to create a tool that will support the assessment of patients with psychosis in the clinic.
