Liam obtained his BA degree in psychology at Maynooth University (Rep. of Ireland) and went on to complete a PhD in psychology at Ulster University. Liam spent 12 years working in academia examining risk and resilience for young people’s mental health. He is currently continuing this line of research working as a Research Fellow in Public Health Wales. His current research involves examining modifiable explanatory variables to better understand the relationship between mental health and mental wellbeing in adolescents in Wales. He is particularly focused on identifying targets for effective interventions to improve mental health and mental wellbeing outcomes for this population. Liam is eager to share his findings with the public to enhance understanding and increase awareness of how various factors affect mental health and mental wellbeing.
