Charlie Corsby is a Senior lecturer in Sport Coaching at the Cardiff School of Sport and Health Sciences, Cardiff Metropolitan University. Charlie obtained a Ph.D. (Sports Coaching) in 2017, and his research interests relate to the everyday affairs of coaches to gain influence and control of others. To date, Charlie’s principal work has drawn upon the work of Harold Garfinkel and ethnomethodology to explore coaches’ everyday interactions, observations, and production of social order. Charlie has a particular interest in exploring and disseminating meaningful research on coaching and learning-centred related practices. Alongside research endeavours, Charlie is a practice coach, qualified to UEFA ‘A’ Licence (level 4).
