Leah obtained her degree in fine art ceramics in Ireland before transiting to health services research at Bangor University. She is currently a research fellow at Bangor University at the School of Medical and Health Sciences working across a wide variety of health, social care and policy research including organ donation and transplant, chronic conditions, kidney disease, patient experiences, women’s health and shared decision making. She is also interested in methods in particular qualitative and mixed method research. She is the patient and public and capacity and capability lead for the Wales Kidney Research Unit and co-convenor of the Deconstructing Donation Special Interest Group at the British Sociology Association. She is an advocate for co-production and working with multiple stakeholders to improve the research outcomes and translate research findings into practice.
