Georgina is a lecturer in bioinformatics at Cardiff University. Her research uses advanced computational biology to further our understanding of how structural changes at the nanoscale link to disease. She obtained a BSc in Forensic Science from Glamorgan University, a MSc in Molecular Modelling from Cardiff University and a PhD from Swansea University studying the structure of DNA. She remained at Swansea for two post doctorial positions before returning to Cardiff where she was awarded a Ser Cymru II fellowship.
Georgina is interested in learning how to be a better teacher, to inspire the next generation of scientists as well as gaining a better understanding of how to best take her research into the public sphere.
