Swati received her Ph.D. degree from Jamia Hamdard University, India in 2012 and joined as a Research Associate at the National Institute of Plant Genome Research the same year. Thereafter, she started as a Post-doctoral fellow at Michigan Technological University on a two-year NSF-funded project in September 2013. Currently, she is working as a Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellow at Institute of Biological, Rural and Environmental Sciences, Aberystwyth University.
The main aspect of her work is to develop nutrient and health efficient crops in order to reduce the health and economic impacts of diet-associated diseases. She is also interested to pursue science commination and scientific policy areas to increase the impact of her research.
