Manon obtained her BSc degree in Psychology at the University of York and went on to complete a PhD and post-doc at the University of Edinburgh. She is now working as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology at Bangor University. Manon’s research expertise is in reading, dyslexia and bilingualism. Her most current research is on the Science of Literary Reading, which examines how poetry and prose affect the mind. Manon is keen to discover how some books absorb us so completely, and to harness this information for more effective educational practices.
