Tracey has held a lectureship in History at Cardiff University since 2008. She is currently completing a monograph on shell-shock in First World War Britain, based on her PhD research (PhD in History, Queen Mary, University of London, 2006). Her most recent research explores representations of health in female print media, c. 1960-1980. She is a founding member of the Families, Identities and Gender (FIG) Research Network at Cardiff University, and is keen to pursue interdisciplinary projects, particularly relating to gender, sexuality, psychology, and health. Tracey is an enthusiastic and committed tutor, and enjoys helping students to discover new ways of approaching history and hitherto unexplored aspects of the past.
Tracey has relocated to Essex and has been promoted to Professor in the Department of History at the University of Essex.
