Sarah obtained her BS degree in psychology at Illinois State University and went on to complete a Masters and PhD at the University of Maryland. She left the USA to do a postdoc at Radboud University Nijmegen and the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition, and Behaviour in the Netherlands. She spent a year as a Lecturer at the University of St Andrews in Scotland before taking on her current role as a Lecturer at the School of Psychology at Cardiff University.
Her research focusses on how infants and young children learn about the actions and goals of other people and explores both brain and behavioural level factors influencing cognitive development. Sarah is interested in engaging with parents, educators and clinicians to help create ideal environments for learning.
Sarah has been promoted to Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology at Cardiff University.
