Neil obtained a BSc in Sport & Exercise Sciences at the University of Bath including a 6-month industrial work placement in the Biomechanics Laboratory at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He then completed a PhD in Biomechanics at the University of Bath before moving to London where he worked at St Mary’s University and conducted applied research with the Rugby Football Union.
He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Biomechanics & Technology at Swansea University where he works on a range of research projects developing and applying existing and new technologies to understand and influence human movement.
Neil is extremely keen to collaborate with visualisation and artistic experts to explore new ways of conveying data-rich information through means which are easily digestible, informative, and effective.
Neil has been promoted to Associate Professor in the College of Engineering at Swansea University.
