Jonathan Phillips

Jonathan obtained his MSci degree in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Bristol and went on to complete an Industrial CASE PhD studentship there funded by the EPSRC and HP Labs, Bristol. Jonathan then got a position as a trainee clinical scientist based at King’s College Hospital, London. He trained there for two years and also studied part-time for an MSc in Medical Engineering and Physics. He is now a Senior Research Officer in Medical Imaging at the Institute of Life Science, Swansea University. His research focuses on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Jonathan is also a registered MRI Clinical Scientist and has close links with the NHS. Jonathan is extremely keen to develop links to raise the profile of medical imaging research in the scientific, clinical and policy-making domains.
2016 Update: Jonathan is now an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Swansea University Medical School at Swansea University.
