Jamie qualified from University of Wales College of Medicine in 2000 and completed postgraduate medical jobs around Wales before being appointed as Consultant Physician in 2009 at University Hospital Llandough, where he is dual accredited in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine. Jamie completed his MD (Cardiff University in 2010/11), researching the systemic comorbidities of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. He is the Research Lead for the All Wales Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service and the Clinical Lead for Cardiff and Vale University Bronchiectasis Service. Jamie is a Member of the South East Wales Research Ethics Committee and departmental R+D Lead for Internal Medicine at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. Jamie has recently been awarded a Health and Care research Wales Clinical Research Time Award and is leading the Drug Development Arm of the Welsh Respiratory Innovation Centre.
