Hayley is a Lecturer in Public International Law at Bangor University, specialising in the law of the sea. She is interested in the legal protection of historic shipwrecks, immunity of wrecked warships, and dispute resolution procedures in the law of the sea more generally. Hayley is also interested in the relationship between international law and devolution, particularly in the context of children’s rights.
She is keen to explore especially innovative methods of protecting wrecks and improving public access, decision making in international dispute settlement, and strengthening the voice of devolved nations in matters of international law.
Hayley has been promoted to Senior Lecturer in Public International Law in Bangor Law School at Bangor University.
