Jac Fennell

Jac is an Interaction and Product Designer, passionate about research that helps to design a better world for people. A graduate of the Royal College of Art, Jac gained real-world industry experience working in the R&D labs for Hewlett-Packard and Philips, and as design consultant for IDEO and MIT MediaLab.
Jac is now working as a Research Fellow and Associate Lecturer at Cardiff Metropolitan University, contributing to AHRC and Welsh Government funded research projects. Her current research is working with the NHS and a private care home to design and develop new playful products to support well-being for people with advanced dementia and post-stroke cognitive impairment.
Jac’s human-centred, design thinking approach to research offers innovative real solutions to complex issues. She is driven by research methodologies that involve people and uses creative research methods to engage all stakeholders in aligning on big ideas and emerging concepts.
